There is a shift happening in the Bay Area. I have lived in San Francisco since 2000 and have always loved it here. But the City is changing – in particular the effects of gentrification, with rising rents driven by tech bros driving out the artists, queers and/or sex workers. So many people I know are now living somewhere in the East Bay. I can really feel the center of stuff shifting eastwards towards Oakland.

And as it happens, a lot of my slaves seem to live in the East Bay. And they do not love driving / BARTing into the City. So recently, I have been looking for a dungeon space in the East Bay – so I can see my regular and new slaves in a location that is more convenient for them. Although as it turns out, given that I live in San Francisco, and I have to drive to most places in the East Bay, it is far from convenient for me. Perhaps I should add an “East Bay tax” for each session – to cover my pain of sitting in traffic jams each way across the Bay Bridge?

Anyway, recently, I made arrangements to meet slaves at Black Thorn - which is a rather wonderful dungeon space in Oakland. It is a Victorian house, with five themed rooms, and a wealth of equipment in each room – including a Queen Size Wrought Iron Bondage Bed, a St. Andrew’s cross, a whipping post, a bondage bench, an antique dental chair, a vintage examination table with stirrups, and a cage with a padded top.

I love it there. Perhaps you will come and see me there…?
